Due to Adam and Eve eating the apple from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, we humans will forever inherit a sin. One aspect of this sin is that, through our good intentions, we inadvertently use oppression and subversion to solve problems or help others.

Tyranny is forcing concepts or actions at the wrong hierarchy of dependencies in a complex system. We have seen this over and over again in complex social systems, but this also takes place in complex software systems. Tyranny should be avoided in any system if that system is to endure the test of time.

Allergies – An Anti-Fragile Definition

An allergy is a hyper activity of a defense mechanism in an anti-fragile system due to lack of stress. If you find an allergy within a system, the simple fix is to increase the stress to the system.
